In our traditional winegrower’s house, we offer you four extraordinary boutique apartments – each one with an individual design and all equally enchanting. The interior of each apartment combines hand-picked furnishings with modern classics and treasures from the past. Soft colors and natural materials reflect the nature-loving spirit of the place amidst steep slate slopes, river bends and forests. Our incomparable location on the green banks of the Moselle provides breathtaking views of the vineyards.

High ceilings, bright rooms, creaky wooden floorboards,

We renovated Gut Försterlay over many months with great joy and respect for the past
of this traditional house. We were able to preserve and lovingly restore historical details with patina.
Old cement tiles, a creaking staircase, wooden floorboards and weathered doors,
some preserved, some newly restored, radiate tradition.

Our historic winegrower’s house stands in the middle of a large garden full of old fruit trees directly on the Moselle. Slowing down begins with the breathtaking view over the glistening riverbank and the imposing steep slopes of the Försterlay vineyard. The large garden invites you to relax, read, recharge your batteries or simply just be – a perfect place to arrive, take a deep breath and linger.

We are in love with the Moselle, its river landscape, its wines and its historic buildings. We want to share our enthusiasm with you in a picturesque place. We have long had a crush on the Försterlay estate, which we have known since childhood – and suddenly it was empty. Our vintner’s house, which is over 100 years old, has seen a lot, defied the weather and soaked up the sun. It was a living space for generations, steady on the banks of the Moselle, in the heart of the village.
The idea of gently renovating this house in a special location to create a happy place for holidaymakers was an obvious one. We worked on all areas ourselves and gave shape to our ideas.
We love our region, are constantly discovering new things in it and are enthusiastic about the mix of tradition and modernity. As guests at Gut Försterlay, we will give you tips on the region’s well-known and hidden treasures so that you can go on your very individual tour of discovery.
